Jada |
Artist's
Statement::
My work is a very meditative process - a continuous, interactive
exploration of how texture, color and shape relate to each other
on canvas. My paintings involve the dynamic interplay between
transparent and opaque hues and elements applied in dozens of
layers to achieve the particular depth and radiance I desire for
the work. Ultimately, I believe that act of making art is simply
the expression of another, perhaps less familiar language that
resides deep within. I want viewers to find themselves lost within
the nuances of my work, giving them a moment of visual and emotional
relaxation. |
